Overview

The 4th annual 2015 Entrepreneur Boot Camp is geared towards Washington County rising 9th-12th grade students. Students will get hands-on experience and a look at the high-tech side of entrepreneurship. Working in teams, students will develop a business model to present in the form of a sixty-second elevator pitch at the end of the week. The competition is judged by local entrepreneurs, advocates, and professionals. The winning team will receive seed money to start their own business!

Located in the heart of downtown Fayetteville, the Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization dedicated to economic development. The Chamber serves as a leader and advocate for membership by promoting a strong business climate in Fayetteville and by facilitating positive community interaction that will result in continued economic development and enhanced quality of life. Registration

REGISTER NOW! Registration for the 2015 camp will be open on May 1, 2015. This year the top students will be accepted upon their application. Students will be prompted to submit essay during the registration process, so it is advised to type this essay in a word processor first. Payment is required for registration. Please mail checks or deliver to:

*A select number of scholarships are available for students who need financial assistance. Students seeking financial assistance should include an essay explaining assistance need and benefits with application.

Cost

The camp costs only $50 for the entire week which covers snacks, lunch each day, a t-shirt, and camp-related expenses.

FAQs

Will my son or daughter need to provide his or her own transportation?
Yes, you will need to provide your own transportation to and from the facility.

Will lunch be provided at the summer academy?
Yes, lunch will be provided for the students; this cost is incorporated into the registration fee.

What is the dress code?
Students will be given an EBC t-shirt to wear for the first four days of the camp. These t-shirts help staff recognize and keep track of teams. Students are expected to be dressed in business/office attire for their pitch on the fifth and final day. Review dress code for details.

Is my son or daughter expected to attend the academy in its entirety; what if they have a conflict?
Yes, students are expected to be present each day and support the efforts of their team. Please contact Stephanie Lenogue at slenogue@fayettevillear.com or 479-521-1710 if a student must leave early, arrive late or miss a day.

Will my son or daughter need to bring any materials with them?
All materials including pens, pencils, paper, supplies or any other tools needed to further the experience at the academy will be provided. Students are also allowed to bring laptop computers at their own risk.

Are scholarships available?
